You can delete your Sixth Hive account at any time.

The fastest way: in-app

Open the Sixth Hive app or website, then go to:

 

Settings → Account → Delete account

 

Follow the prompts to confirm. Your account will be queued for deletion and removed within 30 days.

By email

If you cannot access your account, email info@sixthhive.com from the email address registered on your account. We will verify your identity and action your deletion request within 30 days.

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted:

 

• Your profile is removed from public view
• Your posts and comments may be authorship-anonymised rather than deleted, so the public conversations they belong to remain coherent (your authorship is no longer visible)
• Your direct messages are removed from your side of the conversation
• Your media uploads are removed

What we may keep, and why

Some information is retained where required by law or to protect our legitimate interests:

 

• Billing and tax records: 7 years (UK tax law)
• Security and abuse records: limited periods for fraud prevention and incident investigation
• Information that is the subject of a legal claim or law enforcement request

After deletion

Once your account is deleted you will no longer be able to log in. If you want to use Sixth Hive again, you will need to create a new account.
