Sixth Hive Terms of Service

Effective Date: 15 June 2026 Last Updated: 14 June 2026 Version: 2.1

Welcome to Sixth Hive. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Sixth Hive website, web and mobile applications and any related services (together, the “Platform”).

By creating an account, accessing or using the Platform you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.

1. About Sixth Hive

The Platform is operated by Sixth Hive Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 14626006 and registered office at 176 Franciscan Road, London, England, SW17 8HH.

Sixth Hive is a professional platform for individual members. At launch it offers profiles, posts, Hives (interest-based communities), events, direct messaging and AI-assisted tools. Sixth Hive is a facilitator. We are not a broker, agent, employer, recruiter or intermediary in any agreement formed between members. Any relationships, opportunities, partnerships or collaborations occur directly between the members involved.

2. Eligibility and where the Platform is available

To use Sixth Hive you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be a resident of the United Kingdom or the United States
  • Provide accurate, current and complete information when registering
  • Comply with all applicable laws and these Terms

The Platform is currently available only to residents of the United Kingdom and the United States. Sixth Hive may block or restrict access from other jurisdictions. Expansion to additional regions will be announced and reflected in these Terms.

You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Profiles and member content

When you create a profile or publish content on the Platform you agree that:

  • The information is accurate and not misleading
  • You will not impersonate another person or misrepresent credentials
  • You have the rights necessary to share the content and to grant the licence below

You retain ownership of the content you publish. By publishing content on the Platform you grant Sixth Hive a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, display and distribute that content within and in connection with the Platform, including in feeds, recommendations, search results, AI-assisted features and marketing of the Platform. This licence ends a reasonable period after you delete the content, except where retention is required by law or to defend legal claims.

4. Acceptable use

  • Do not post unlawful, infringing, defamatory, harassing, threatening, discriminatory or abusive content
  • Do not send spam, unsolicited commercial messages or coordinated promotional campaigns
  • Do not upload viruses, malware or any harmful code
  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or other accounts
  • Do not interfere with or manipulate Platform features, ranking, visibility or engagement metrics
  • Do not use the Platform for fraudulent, deceptive or misleading activity
  • Do not misrepresent professional credentials or qualifications

5. Hives and communities

Members may create, join or moderate Hives (interest-based communities). Hive moderators are responsible for managing membership, moderating discussions and ensuring activity complies with these Terms. Sixth Hive may intervene, restrict or remove a Hive where activity violates these Terms or harms members.

6. Events

Members may create and promote events through the Platform. Event organisers are solely responsible for event content, logistics, capacity, ticketing, communications with attendees and compliance with applicable laws. Where Sixth Hive is the named organiser of an event, separate event terms (including any photography and recording notices) will be provided at registration.

7. Messaging and connections

You may message, connect with and request introductions to other members. You agree not to use these features for harassment, spam or deceptive practices. We may rate-limit, restrict or remove messaging privileges in cases of abuse. Direct messages are encrypted in transit but are not end-to-end encrypted (see the Privacy Policy).

8. AI-assisted features

The Platform includes AI-assisted features, including a post editor that can expand a brief into a draft, AI-suggested replies, and recommendations of people, content and opportunities.

You acknowledge that AI-assisted suggestions are generated automatically, may contain errors or omissions, are informational only and do not constitute professional advice, and are not decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you. You are responsible for reviewing any AI-assisted output before publishing it. You may not attempt prompt injection, jailbreaking or other manipulation of the AI systems.

We do not use your private messages or paid content to train third-party foundation models.

9. Paid plans, billing and refunds

At launch Sixth Hive offers two pricing tiers:

  • Free: core access for individual members
  • Professional: £29 per month or annual equivalent, with additional features displayed at the point of purchase

We may change prices and features from time to time, with notice for material changes affecting your active plan.

Payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. By purchasing a plan you authorise Stripe to charge the applicable fees, taxes and renewal amounts to your payment method. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and your paid features remain active until then. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer law. If you are a UK consumer, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 are not affected.

10. Platform availability

We aim to provide reliable access, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, technical issues or infrastructure incidents.

11. Warranties and limitation of liability

The Platform is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sixth Hive makes no warranties or representations regarding uninterrupted or error-free operation, accuracy of content posted by members, outcomes from connections or matches, or suitability of recommendations.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sixth Hive’s aggregate liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amounts you paid to Sixth Hive in that period, or, if no payment was made, GBP 100. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

12. Intellectual property

All Platform elements (software, design, branding, the Sixth Hive name and registered trademark, logos and interface components) are the intellectual property of Sixth Hive or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, reverse engineer, decompile or create derivative works of any part of the Platform without our prior written permission.

13. Anti-scraping and data extraction

  • Do not scrape, harvest or extract data from the Platform
  • Do not use bots, crawlers or automated tools to access the Platform without permission
  • Do not use Platform data to train AI models or build competing services

Unauthorised extraction or use may result in account termination, technical blocks and legal action.

14. Reporting, moderation and enforcement

You can report content or accounts through the in-product reporting tools or by emailing safety@sixthhive.com. We may investigate reports and take action including warnings, content removal, restrictions, suspensions or account termination.

15. Termination

You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time through account settings or at sixthhive.com/account-deletion. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if required by law.

16. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sixth Hive from claims arising from your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, or content you publish.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes in-product or by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

18. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that we may bring proceedings in any jurisdiction where you are located to enforce our rights. Nothing in these Terms affects the statutory rights of consumers.
